Jonathan: "What do you want your work to say to people, what do you want the takeaway to be when people view your work? Is there a message you want to convey in art to women, men, people, or society overall?"
Javiera: "When people view my work, I’d love if it took them out of the mundane and into the ephemeral. I’ve been told by many that the space I hold allows people to feel free in being whoever they want to be; louder, bigger, more colorful, and inspired. Society has a tendency to keep us in line, conform, stay small, don’t make a scene. At least, this is what it was like growing up for me. The work is an expression of freedom and I hope the viewer is inspired by this."
